Dana Lobaugh - Artistic Director
As
Artistic Director of MosaicSong, Dana brings her experience as a performer,
teacher and conductor along with her passion for human rights, especially
women’s and children’s concerns.
Dana holds a Bachelor of Music degree in voice performance and Bachelor
of Music Education degree in vocal music education and has studied choral
conducting extensively at the doctoral level at the University of North
Texas . She has 25 years of experience as director of church choirs and
programs, private voice instructor, and teacher and choral conductor
from preschool to university levels. Especially dear to her heart are
the years she served as Assistant Music Director and Artistic Director
of The Women’s Chorus of Dallas (TWCD). It was during her tenure
with TWCD that she first formed the group known as Mosaic.
In addition to directing MosaicSong,
Dana currently serves University Christian Church (UCC) of Fort
Worth as full time Assistant Music Program Director, in charge
of all children's and youth choirs and four handbell choirs. Dana
and her husband Alan have three brilliant and talented children: Aaron
(16), Benjamin (12) and Hannah (4). Among Dana’s many passions
and interests are movies, literature, theatre, dance, art, nature,
peace and chocolate!
